Built A 50cc Motorcycle With My Brother

My brother and I were super bored the other day and wanted to do something fun. I decided that we can gather a bunch of our old bike parts together and built a 50cc motorcycle. I had this engine laying around for the longest time, and I thought we could put it onto an old bike and make a motorized bike. 

We started by stripping the bike down all the way, took every piece off and cleaned them all off. All the pieces that were rusty, we put into a bowl of Coke. Coke has Phosphoric acid present in it, and is capable of eating away at rust, and taking it off all metal parts. After we got all the pieces into the bowl of Coke, we then moved onto the frame. We took the frame and scraped and sanded it down to factory metal. 

After some primer, and a nice paint job, the frame was ready. We then needed to wait for the pieces being de-rusted. About a day and a half later, the pieces were done, rust free. We then were able to put the bike back together. Once the bike was together, I was able to bolt on the engine, and get this thing going. 50cc Motorcycles are extremely fun to build, and also ride. 

Once the bike was completely assembled, I got to do the honors. I road it up and down the road a few times, and decided it was ready to go. I then handed the keys to my younger brother who helped me build it. And at that point, it became his.
